Drawing on the nation’s rich artistic legacy. Our role involved crafting a complete brand identity—from the logo and catalogue design to collateral and e-commerce UX/development. Each detail reflects Velvex’s commitment to timeless elegance, sustainable production, and responsible use of renewable resources.

The Velvex logo is a simple black wordmark, inspired by the art of paper cutting and folding. Its clean lines and subtle angles capture the tactile essence of paper, echoing the brand’s focus on refined craftsmanship and modern sustainability.

Graphic device

Building on the logo’s cut-and-fold concept, we developed a repetitive grid pattern that features the logo in a subtle yet cohesive arrangement. This pattern is applied across various brand touch points, reinforcing a sense of continuity and sophistication.

Photography

Our photography highlights the paper’s texture, colour, and premium finish. By folding and positioning sheets in creative scenes, we reveal the paper’s versatility and quality, allowing viewers to appreciate its depth and character at a glance.

Paper catalogue

Velvex approached us to help market their new coated textured paper, seeking a way to compare it with their classic uncoated product. We proposed a catalogue design featuring a ‘die-cut window’ shaped to mirror the Velvex icon allowing viewers to visually compare printing and colour absorption on both paper types. This approach not only highlighted the paper’s unique qualities but also reinforced the brand’s identity in a functional and memorable way.

Website UX

We crafted a clean, minimalist e-commerce website with a white background that spotlights Velvex’s paper photography as the main focal point. Large, high-resolution visuals and intuitive navigation guide users through comparing textures, finishes, and colours, reflecting Velvex’s commitment to refined simplicity and premium quality.

Product page

The product page offers an interactive experience, allowing users to select variations such as paper colour, weight, and finish, with the product image updating in real-time. Detailed descriptions, a price table, and convenient payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay ensure a seamless and informative shopping journey.

e-Commerce journey

The e-commerce journey is streamlined into three clear steps Shopping Cart, Checkout Details, and Order Complete. Each marked with a numbered progression for easy user navigation. This structured approach keeps the process transparent, guiding customers from selection to confirmation without confusion.

Development overview

The UX design was meticulously implemented using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on Wordpress CMS and WooCommerce, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. <br> These development practices, combined with a robust DevOps pipeline, ensured a scalable, high-performing website tailored to the needs of the client and their audience.
